Covering the west of the Three Valleys, Val Thorens is the highest resort in Europe and provides one of the most impressive panoramas in the French Alps. Our seasoned experts offer group and private ski and snowboard lessons taught in English and French as well as off-piste guiding for both children and adults. So strap in, jump ‘on-board’ and prepare to love this stunning valley as much as we do.

Boasting an enviable variety of ski terrain with connections to Méribel, Courchevel, through Les Ménuires and on to its neighbouring fourth valley – Val Thorens offers one of the most impressive panoramas in the French Alps. Based at 2300m, this beautiful valley is exposed to some of the best snow cover in the area, hence why it can open its slopes to the public earlier than the rest.

It’s time to head on down and meet your instructor. To get to our ski & snowboard school meeting point, you need to make your way to the piste front and you’ll find us at the foot of the Tourotel accommodation residence, just in front of the hotel Le Fahrenheit7. You can’t miss us as, look out for our Oxygène flags, orange and blue uniforms and big smiles.

Children’s group lessons

We offer a range of group lessons for children at Val Thorens. Lessons are organised by level and age, with a limited number of participants. Our programmes, available in the morning, afternoon and all day, aim to build confidence and improve skiing technique.

Adult group lessons

In Val Thorens resort, you’ll find our Adult Group Lessons. They offer a wealth of programmes and activities to suit all ages, tastes and abilities. From gentle first turns on the piste for novice sliders to adrenalin-fuelled fans of powder terrain, we’ll take you wherever you want to go, on skis or snowboard.

Snowboard group lessons

Take advantage of group snowboard lessons in all our resort. Beginners will discover this discipline which will hold no secrets for them and experienced riders will be able to refine their technique while enjoying the resort.

Private lessons

One-to-one, in one of our private lessons, take your skiing or snowboarding to new heights. Private lessons are available for all disciplines at all our resorts in the French Alps. Play it by yourself and watch your progress, or share the fun by inviting friends or family.

Off-piste guiding
